They're light, but stainless loses to regular steel vs. heat, and heat is what kills barrels. Stainless is ok for a bolt gun, not a semi-auto gun or heaven forbid, a full auto gun.

Appreciate it. Anything Milspec will work. Some “enhanced” uppers won’t work, such as the BCM Mk2 because the forward assist location interferes with the location of the Ambi bolt release. Basically if the space under the brass deflector is empty, it should be fine. Edit: here’s a list for LMT, LWRC should be very similar.
The checkering on the handle is practically slip proof. Overall the build is superior for an ambi charging handle. For AR 15s, Geissele is good to go. For MCXs (AR 180s) the SIG OEM is the way to go. The SIG MCX needs the two hooks that SIG's OEM has with the benefit that you can choose the width you want with two hooks.I saw LWRCs for about $1,100 pre-covid so I think $1,400 would be a good price. However, the best gun is the one you have on hand so if that extra $100 is worth it to you, I'd say go with the LWRC. It's a high quality rifle.
